Gladwin County Carriage Festival - Aug 10-12, 2012
There were thousands of people at the event from all over the Midwest... probably 90% Amish.
Our Saturday Client
A 3yo Percheron who had never had his teeth examined. There was a lot of competing activity for his attention.
Checking the status of his teeth; there were not retained caps and no wolf teeth. We did peform a wolf tooth extraction on the gelding that was Friday's round pen client.
Doug takes breaks in between each set of teeth after he checks them so the horse can feel the difference in its teeth as he progresses through the float.
With competing activity all around us, Doug makes sure to have this gelding attention as much as possible, by moving his feet and keeping eye contact.
There were many demonstrations held this weekend... this was a log splitting being powered by a mule on a treadmill.
